A Conversation with Dr. Anthony Fauci, Part II

Tuesday, September 15, 2020

Last Fall, for my project “Above and Beyond,” I was privileged to interview and make portraits of Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of NIAID (The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease).

From the over one hour interview, I edited a 15 minute video and posted Part I with the portraits.

Given the current COVID-19 pandemic and Dr. Fauci’s prominent involvement in advising authorities how to combat and prevent infection and death, I decided to re-edit the interview, looking for thoughts left off the initial edit.

We salute Dr. Fauci, and applaud what he’s advised and feel a great sense of remorse that the current president rejected his scientifically based council — a rejection which has resulted in the death of tens of thousands.

I was able to find and glean other useful scientific information from the interview, and am delighted to post this additional 12 minutes.
